Lines in the Sand is a FREE four day festival of contemporary ephemeral arts, children's art workshops, performance, projection, artist's talk, gallery tour, art market and other spontaneous happenings. Also dance, song and art of the Quandamooka peoples. Some of their artists in residence include Caitlin Halsall, Michael Bulloch, Greg Dunbar, Craig Tapp, Sharon Jewell, Anaheke Metua, Jill Chism, Yeh Yilan and Colin Offord.

Beach 4WD tours, boat rides, jet skis, holiday rental house deals, Surf School, Dive shops, Salt Water Murris indigenous artworks and local photographers as well as special seafood treats from local restaurants- come and see what all the fuss is about on Straddie!

Sample the wares of Straddie's local fisherman at this great day out on the island best known for its' fresh seafood. Try the Ning Ningi Yum Yum locally grown rock oysters, gorge on Moreton Bay bugs, fabulous prawns and crabs straight from Amity Point Trawlers. This is iving!

This high quality Chamber Music event features 5 individual performances from the Community Hall in Dunwich, the Community Hall in the sleepy fishing village of Amity Point, the Point Lookout Surf Club and gospel style in Point Lookout's St Peter Chanel church. The festival also features a number of community events, with workshops for the kids in Dunwich over the course of the weekend.

Straddie Salute offers three events over two days in one big weekend of adventure. Swim the crystal clear waters in the Straddie 1000 Ocean Swim, jog along one of Queensland's most beautiful coastal trails in the Columbia Adventure Run / Walk or take up the ultimate offroad challenge, the Straddie Salute Offroad Triathlon.

The Straddie Assault is event managed by the Point Lookout Boardriders Club, and is now in its' 29th consecutive year. The Straddie Assault surfing event is invitation only to 16 Board Rider Clubs in South East Queensland and south to Lennox Heads. Teams of 10 riders represent their clubs, including juniors and senior competitors.

Each year Island Vibe attracts people the world over to gather and enjoy a diverse line up of great reggae, roots, dub, soul, world music and dancehall, whilst cultural dancers, street performers and visual artists display their talents. As well as hosting a diverse array of international and national acts, a sizeable chunk of the program is dedicated to showcasing the fantastic emerging acts of South East Queensland and the South Pacific.
